Week Two

Well, the wheels fell off and couldn't be put back on. I figured out a few more triggers to my eating habits

Stress - I don't eat when i'm stressed and then pig out, not good.

I don't plan my meals so I eat what I can easily get my hands on.

I sometimes forget to eat because I'm in that "nearly finished" mode so won't eat until I have finished, which is way later than it needs to be.

I tend to pick during the day instead of having set meal times so I feel full pretty much all the time instead of giving my body a chance to digest what I've just eaten

Still filling out my junk journal - unbelievable I know

  1. Ok - bit late reading & posting a comment, but I'm sure you will forgive me.
Bugger that you feel that the wheels fell off this week.
YAY that you have turned it around and taken something positive out of it. Instead of seeing it as a failure instead you have identified some triggers so I see the week as having more positive outcomes than negative.
For those of us who are overly voluptuous, identifying the triggers and patterns is the first step to changing the behaviour. You can't change what you don't know you are doing. Unlearning the habit feels like it takes a hundred times longer than learning it, but stick with it. I have faith that you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. xxx

  2. I agree with everything ScrapFX said above. Great to see you identifying the triggers, that is half the battle, good on you.

As with the exercise (from previous post) it is a hard one to get into but with a bit of determination the struggle will change to wanting to do something and it gets easier. I too used to dislike exercise. The secret is finding something you enjoy. There is lots of way to exercise, so give some different ones a go (walking, swimming, biking, boxing, zumba, hot hula, apparently there is a fun exercise challenge thing down at the Waitakere Trust stadium)

Just take things slowly, and don't expect too much too soon. This takes time and patience.

  3. Ok, so the wheels fell, but, you've done a lot of work identifying you triggers and just before Christmas is really a terrible time to start, so if you feel the wheels can't be put back on, here's my suggestion...wait till all the festivities are over (New Year's celebrations etc) and then if necessary, get a new bike/wagon. I know it's easier said then done - hey I took over 2 years to get myself a new one, but now that I have, I can honestly tell you that the hard work is so worth it. I feel so much better and have so much more energy and now realise I am truly so much happier being smaller (even though I'm only 1/2 way there) and I wish for all the same for you. So know, that I will help you any way I can. Stay strong and just keep going, no matter what obstacles come your way. You will get there, I have seen what you can accomplish, so I have faith that you will conquer this too. XXX
