Re - design

I made this cute little number from an pair of corderoy pants I picked up from a local mission shop, it cost me a 50c. The lining came from another pair of pants at the same shop for the same price. I use some of my scrapbook supplies to add a flower. Can you see that shadow on the left side - could be an iron mark ay? But thank goodness it's not visible in to the naked eye

Starjam Hamilton

Last weekend, we travelled to Hamilton to help launch their dance and music workshops that started this past week. What a blast - our kids brought the house down with their singing, dancing and a solo performance by Ben (such a cool kid)

Hamilton really did themselves proud and were the perfect hosts

baking take home pack

My niece Kavell and her daughter Haylen were up for the last week of the holidays and it goes without saying a "take home pack" is a must. I made her some coconut jam slice, it looks just like Louise slice.

It was the first time I had ever made it and it turned out pretty good, if I was to do it over again I'd probably cut back on the base as it was quite thick. I hope to make it again this week as it went down a real treat with Al - but then again anything I bake goes down a treat with Al...lol.

The recipe is from the lastest "recipe" magazine

Ps I also made some chocolate crunch for her to take home, but was really funny; after I left her to get on with her packing I'd forgotten to give her something - guess who had their mouth wide open ready to take a bite with a "busted" look on her face...hahahaha!! In her defence she did say she had to do a taste test first.

Hanging out the washing

Special Olympic's

Cannon cleaned up this year, he won his 100metre race, the softball throw and the long jump. Here are some photo's of him running down the track and as he got closer to the end of the race he yelled out "Later Suckers". I was totally embarrassed but it seemed to attact alot of laughter from those watching the race...and in the end all I could do was smile shake my head and deny he was my son...lol.

My desk at Scrapcamp

At camp I felt like I my table wasn't very big...and I kept pondering about this during the first couple of days. Then it hit me - it's because my desk at home is an old door which is waay bigger than the camp table and 3 if not 4 times bigger than my sewing desk I used to work from.

Baby Haylen

Haylen came to visit all the way from Nelson, this will be the first time we have set eyes on her ever. Al managed to get a cuddly from her - no surprise there. He grandpa - my brother, joked I'll be gutted if she lets you hold her cause I've been trying since Saturday...lol.

And the hair....she's already had two haircuts all before she is 11months old. My poor little Aiko definately looks like a little baldy compared to her

I took heaps of photo's of her and hope to take more before they go home in the weekend, especially ones with family members.

Aiko - Scrapbooking 101

Aiko is clearly so talented at 8mths old she is able to scrapbook her own photo's and explain to Lisa what is she currently working on.

Scrapcamp 2010

"Scrapbooking is a by-product of camp"

Camp for me is about meeting up with friends, eating good food, sharing stories, catching up on gossip with a little bit of scrapbooking on the side and the odd field trip to the local shops.

I decided to live dangerously this year and not sit in my usual spot but in the corner near Carolann, ....BIG mistake, we were terrible - hahahahaha. We soon named it the naughty corner and at the next camp we may have to sit in seperate corners because we got up to a bit of mischief...NAH! And then there was three ay Tanz...lol.

I actually won a prize in Bingo - which never happens, we'll until now that is and picked mini album that I'm going to use for Aiko's "ice-block" episode.

Easter Bbq

We all went to the inlaws for a family bbq, I organised a easter hunt for the little ones and Anthony helped me hide the eggs around the back yard. See the Lemon Cheesecake this was made by Pauline, it was absolutely delish.... I made some easter treats after getting some inspiration from my scrapbooking sister "Miss Wendy"

Jean Bag trip to America

I stoopidly said to my sister I would make her a jean bag - knowing I may not be able to do so. Last night as she was packing she asked so where is my bag? Hard to brush her off when she's standing in front of me.

Really all I had to do was line it, attached a couple of velcro closures and a bit of bling on the outside. But what really stuffed me up was having to do training at work, doing full time hours and then we had organised a scratch game with our other U17 softball team - which is a WHOLE other blog entry

Rotorua - Scrapbook Haul

I'm never one to let Sport get in the way of scrapbooking shopping...muhahahaha!

1st Stop - The $2 shop by the Warehouse, scored me some bargains here, they had large felt alphabet sets; A-M and N-Z for $2.50 so of course I had to get one of each colour they had in stock. Along with some fancy, smanshy transfer alphabet stickers and a sheet of rub on's.

Warehouse had nothing but I did buy some gold tip scissors that I had been eyeing up in Auckland.

2nd Stop - Then round the corner to Warehouse Stationery - Got some ribbons and 2 Designer chipboard sets.

3rd Stop - Kraft Korner, got some $1.00 paper from the sale rack. N-Z felt alpha in black that the $2 shop didn't have.

4th Stop - Spotlight, this store is super clean and the staff are very friendly. I went down the scrapbook aisle first and found a chipboard alphabet set - cheap as. Then to the bargain section where I found some really good bargains, I was being selective with my purchases and thought... okay that's it, off to the counter BUT when she said $8.00!!! I thought WTF to which she replied all orange stickers are 50% off, it was like she read my mind "did you want me to put these aside while you go back"....HELL YEAH, even after I came back it was only $28.00 and I had a bag full

I think I did pretty well - I don't think I spent more than $120.00 all up. Which is pretty good cause last time I spent almost $200 just in spotlight alone, mainly because I brought bind it all accessories

Thanks Rotorua - it was a pleasure
