Baking baking baking
I started my fundraising baking at work again and my co-workers certaintly missed the home baking. This week I made crunch - the one that was suppose to be for camp..sorry gals and banana, choc chip and blueberry muffins....yummm!!!
I made small muffins at $1.00 each and peeps brought them in bulk I sold out before 10am, now you may say I could have sold them for a lot more but by keeping my prices low I get repeat business, take home empty containers and money in my pocket - chi ching...
I going to adding some savoury items as the weather gets colder such as savoury muffins made with soup mixes(needs a bit of work) scones - will have to get up early to make them on the day and perhaps bacon and egg pie - thinks like that.

School Baking
Here we go again, first batch of Muesli Slice made for lunches tomorrow. I use an anzac biscuit recipe as a base and add nuts, choc chips and replace some of the rolled oats with muesli mix, then put it into a slice tray. A double tray I might add, single would be swallowed whole in on sitting in my family..lol
Once it's cooked, cut it into squares or fingers and drizzle chocolate over the top. My son has worked out how many he can have as an afternoon snack while leaving enough for his lunch.

Back to class
Tomorrow the boys are both at school for their first full week of the new year. Both have had mixed emotions about returning after such a long break.
For Cannon it's his last year which means he will be doing a lot more in preparation for life after Oaklynn, I can' t believe he will be graduating this year, makes me feel a little OLD..to say the least
Phoenix is Y12, growing physically and mentally, sometimes it takes all my strength to remember its a phase, count to 10 and negotiate, negotiate, negotiate. I have to constantly remind myself he's a young adult now(he keeps reminding me...lol), and not the little baby I'm sure I brought home yesterday..smiles.
